East Prairie - Services will be conducted Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in East Prairie for Oscar L. Hinkle, 77 years old, who died Monday in an Alton, Ill. nursing home.
Hr. Hinkle was born Dec. 19, 1899 in Bowles, Ky., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hinkle. His wife preceded him in death.
He is survived by five sons, Carl, Charles, George, Leonard and Otis Hinkle; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Nance, Mrs. John Hurley and Mrs. Kelley Joe Davidson; a brother, Kelley Hinkle; three sisters, Mrs. Lute Barnhill, Mrs. Della Linn and Mrs. Bernice Forest; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
