Irene B. Rush, 87, Duncansville, died Thursday morning at home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Adeline (Baker) Neugebauer. She married William L. Rush on Feb. 20, 1946, in Newry, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1991.

Surviving are a daughter, Jayne Ann Grannas of Duncansville; a son, William E. (Aileen) of Duncansville; five grandchildren: Jason, Billy, Nikki, Brandi and Shawn; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Gerald, Eugene and Sheldon Neugebauer; a sister, Pauline Speedy; and a son-in-law, Donald Grannas.

Irene attended Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

There will be no public viewing. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
