He was born in Columbia, SC on April 21, 1948 and was the son of the late Robert D. and Mickie Alderman. He served in the US Air Force and retired from SC Electric and Gas after 33 years.He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife, Linda E. Alderman, one son, USAF major (select) Wesley J. Alderman, and two daughters, Angela L. Baker (Cara), and Regina Alderman Bapties (Doriyan) and five grandchildren, Haley Alderman, Alaina Bapties, Adam Alderman, Jasmine Howard and Cole Bapties, and one sister, Joy Alderman Smith.
The family will receive friends at Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland, SC on December 11, 2011 from 2 until 5 pm. Services will be held at the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort SC on December 12, 2011 at 1100.
