Sam was born on June 30, 1918 in Crescent, OK to Virgil and Ida Chadduck. He passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in Norman, OK.
Sam was raised in the Crescent area. He married Ada Frances Mize on March 12, 1942 and they made their home in Guthrie. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a retired carpenter and he and his wife, Frances, owned and operated Chadduck's Antiques for over 25 years. He served as Sergeant of Arms for the Guthrie American Legion for 62 years. He loved serving the Legion in their many activities. He was also a member of the First Christian Church in Guthrie and a member of Guthrie Masonic Lodge No. 35, A.F.&A.M.
Sam is preceded in death by his wife Frances in February 2001, two brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Bonita Kay Johnston and husband James; two grandchildren Jamie P. Johnston and his wife Stacey and Marissa Willis; six great-grandchildren Zoe Johnston, Lauren Parker, Brock Parker, Brandon Parker, Lillian Johnston, and Leia Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
