Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Eversole Mortuary for Tyson Waldo Atkins, 69, who died of a heart attack at his home in Comptche Sunday. Inurnment will be in the Santa Rosa Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Abell Lodge number 146 of the Free and Accepted Masons.
Mr. Atkins was born in Missouri in 1892 and had lived in California 54 years and in the community 16 years. He lived in Fresno for many years prior to coming to Comptche where he was engaged in sheep raising and working with redwood lumber. He was a member of the Las Palmas Masonic Lodge in Fresno.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Atkins, Comptche, one son, Leland F. Atkins, Chico, five brothers, Dr. S. M. Atkins, Cottonwood, Dr. H. B. Atkins, Hollywood, Dr. T. Atkins, Alhambra, Forest Atkins, Los Angeles, John Atkins, Livingstone and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Honeywell, Ukiah.
