Elma Jean Stroud, 78, of Conway, Ark., died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at her home, due to complications from a fall. Born May 22, 1933, in Wewoka, as a twin, she was the daughter of Samuel and Myrtle Deweese. She retired as an accountant from Cessna Aircraft Company where her husband, Jimmy Frank Stroud, a former Marine who had served in Korea, was also employed. After retiring, they moved to Conway. She attended Salem United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; son, Terry Miller; daughter, Lori Klamm, of Wichita, Kan.; grandsons, Wesley and Aaron Miller, of McAlester; granddaughter, Amber Klamm, of Wichita, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald Miller; brothers, Floyd and Gerald, and sisters, Polly, Millie, Hazel, Dean and Pauline. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tannehill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester. A memorial service is to be held at a future date with Pastor Leon Gray of Salem United Methodist Church officiating.
