A memorial service for Russell G. Becker of McMinnville was held this morning in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. The Rev. Thomas Farley of St. James Catholic Church, McMinnville, officiated.
Interment will be in Uniontown Catholic Cemetery, Uniontown, Wash.
Mr. Becker died Jan. 22, 2000, in Providence Newberg Hospital. He was 30.
He was born May 12, 1969, in Moscow, Idaho, the son of Herbert and Sharon Nibler Becker. He was raised and educated in Uniontown. He graduated from Colton High School in 1987 and moved to McMinnville in 1988.
Mr. Becker worked for Amerson's Precision Metal, McMinnville. He especially enjoyed playing pool and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sharon and Bill Brown of Uniontown; three sisters, Janine Becker-Schumacher of McMinnville, Melody Sandahl of Lewiston, Idaho, and Jill Link of Medical Lake, Wash.; a brother, Wayne Becker of Clarkfork, Idaho; a stepsister, Lorena Brice of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepbrother, Ken Brown of Wasilla, Alaska; and a companion, Tina Brown of Newberg.
