She was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Colts during the rein of Johnny Unitas. She was also was a model known as Miss Black Label. She was a artist and a private pilot and also trained and rode championship horses.

FREDERICK, Md. - Mrs. Mildred Ann "Annie" Mack, of Frederick, died quietly on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Frederick Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Born in Essex, Md., to a family of watermen and boat builders, she was an extremely talented and courageous person. A cheerleader for the Baltimore Colts during the reign of Johnny Unitas, she was also a talented artist. Her early art lessons came from an artist on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, N.J., she then continued as an art demonstrator in the windows of various paint stores in the Baltimore area. As a former model, she was known as "Miss Black Label." In later life, she became a private pilot and rode championship horses that she and her husband owned and trained.

Besides her husband, Ferdinand J. Mack, she left a son, Ferdinand J. Mack Jr.; stepchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey, John, Jennifer, Amanda and Adrianne; a sister, Elaine Maxa; and her two children, Gary and Nancy Maxa

The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery,
