Elva W. Weaver, 88, of 232 Cats Back Road, Apt. 10, Ephrata, formerly of Spruce Road, New Holland, died Sunday at Ephrata Community Hsopital after an illness of several weeks. A homemaker, Mrs. Weaver worked for the former Moyer's Knitting Mill, Ephrata, in her earlier years. She was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church and its sewing circle. Born in West Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lydia Witmer Zimmerman. She was married 64 years in May to Lester M. Weaver. Surviving are three daughters; three sons; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Roy and Raymond Zimmerman, and a sister, Lottie Weaver. (Lancaster New Era - Jan 8, 2002)
