He was a General Contractor for the last thirty years & past member of Local Union #71, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII & Korean War; a mason of Belle Point Lodge #20, 32nd degree mason Scottish Rite Temple in Fort Smith, a life member of the V.F.W. , The American Legion and the Eastern Star member #95 OES in Joplin, Mo. .
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mickey Brown of the home, one son, Mitchell Brown and wife, Karen of Van Buren; three sisters, Dora Hodges and Ellen Stringer both of Van Buren, Lois Webb Campbell, CA.; four grandchildren, Jamie Alexander, Aaron Brown & Brent Brown all of Van Buren, Eric Brown of Fort Smith; four great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday March 16th 2012 at 11:00am at
Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Brown, Bud Sisk, Troy Sisk, Jeff Sisk, Roger Higgins, and Robert Swilling.
