"PETER QUAVE DIES AT HOME IN D'IBERVILLE"

"Peter Quave, 72 years old, lifelong resident of d'Iberville, died at his home today at 12:10. Deceased was ill for some time. He was at times prominently identified with the development of North Biloxi as a merchant and packer. He leaves two sons, four daughters, one sister and numerous other relatives. His sons are Raymond and Peter Quave; his daughters, Mrs. J. Trochesset, Mrs. Wilmer Seymour, Mrs. W. L. Stallings and Miss Mamie Quave, all of d'Iberville. His sister is Mrs. Theodore Borries of Biloxi. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock with services at the Sacred Heart Catholic church and interment in the Quave Cemetery."

"The funeral of Peter Quave was held Saturday afternoon with services by Father O'Sullivan and interment in Quave Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Willie, Orey, Arthur, Earl and Warren Seymour and Rene Trochesset, all grandsons."

Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 22, pg 175: Peter was 72 years, 11 months, 14 days old when he died at his home in D'Iberville. He was the son of Pierre Quave and Annie Mallett. He was a retired merchant.
