Lawrence Joseph "Bird" Infante III, 59, passed on May 12, 2011, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. Born on May 11, 1952, in Plattsburgh, to Lawrence J Infante, Jr. and Gertrude Mead Infante, Larry graduated from Beekmantown Central School in 1970, and then from Clinton Community College.

While in high school at Beekmantown Larry was a star basketball player, then played on the varsity team at Clinton Community. He played American Legion Baseball, where he was a pitcher, and loved fishing, talking about and drawing "Champy" the Lake Champlain monster, photography, and playing folk guitar. He had many ways to keep himself entertained while driving long distance tractor trailers.

Pre-deceased by his father, Lawrence Jr., a sister Patricia, and a brother George, Larry is survived by his son Nathaniel Infante and wife Kelly of Canton, NY, his mother Gertrude Infante of Argyle, NY, his brothers, Terry Infante and his fiance Andrea of Glens Falls and Plattsburgh, NY, Kyle Infante of Wilton, NY, Lindsay Infante and wife Angela of Delta, OH, and Eric Infante and wife Sally of Greenwich, NY, plus several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Larry is at rest in St. Peter's cemetery in Plattsburgh with his father.
