The funeral service for Wendy
Williamson, 17, was held last Saturday in the Bethel Baptist Church, with
interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Charles Robinson and Rev. Winfred Huff
officiated.
Acttive pallbearers were Kirby Gray, Brian Robinson, David Jones,
David White and Greg Wright. Honorary pallbeares were Russ Griffin, Craig Lord,
Ted Moore, Jamie Rogers and Steven Underwood. Connie Robinson was
musician.
Miss Williamson died last Thursday in a Macon hospital from injuries
she received in a June 19 accident on Rocky Springs Road.
Born in Cumberland
County, NC, Miss Williamson lived in Dodge County most of her life. She was a
rising senior at Dodge County High School, where she was a member of the Anchor
Club, Spanish Club and Science Club and was the feature twirler with the Dodge
County High Marching Chiefs Band. Miss Williamson was a member of Bethel Baptist
Church, where she attended the intermediate Sunday School Class.
Survivors
include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Williamson, of Eastman, one brother, Wes
Williamson, of Eastman, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Poston, of
Rte. 5 Cochran; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Williamson, of Eastman;
paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Dossia Williamson, of Eastman; three uncles and
aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Peacock and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Giddens, all of
Eastman; and Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Moore, of Moultrie.
