Funeral services for Col. (Ret.) Paul E. Martin, 71, of Auburn will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Fredericks Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Frank Covington officiating. Burial will follow in Auburn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Fredericks Funeral Home.

Col. Martin passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004, was born July 9, 1932 in Marr, Ohio. After graduating from Ohio State he entered the U.S. Army as a 2nd LT. His assignment as an ROTC Instructor at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) where he met his wife to be. Col. Martin was a Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Cameron Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Martin of Auburn; son Robert "Bob" (Chrystal) Martin of Mobile; brother, Norman L. Martin of Sardis, OH, and sister, Irene Berger of Hannibal, OH.
