Wanda Finch Stoneking, 96, of Waynesburg, died at 1:18 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in her home.

She was born Friday, October 29, 1915, in Greene County, daughter of the late Floyd and Effie May Tharp Finch.

Mrs. Stoneking was a member of First Christian Church of Waynesburg.

Her family was the joy of her life, and she especially enjoyed shopping with them. She also enjoyed reading, fishing, crocheting, baking, cards and dominoes.

Mrs. Stoneking worked as a dietitian for the state of Pennsylvania for several years.

In 1944, she married William Howard Stoneking, who died February 29, 1976.

Surviving are a son and wife, Francis (Nancy) Stoneking of Rochester, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Helen Cooper of Washington; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons, David Reed Cooper and Charles William Stoneking, and two sisters, Genevive Loughman and Lavina Six.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, with the Rev. Richard Ritenour officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald, for committal services. Information is available at www.milliken-throckmortonfh.com.
