Nancy Hershberger, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Lindsborg Community Hospital after a long illness. She was born on September 18, 1940, to Woodrow and Fern (Crossfield) Hale. Nancy married Carl Hershberger on June 20, 1959. Their only child, Julie, was born November 20, 1962.
Nancy was a devoted daughter, a caring big sister, a loving wife and mother, and a doting grandmother. She was class valedictorian, an enthusiastic cheerleader, a skilled secretary, and a friendly and knowledgeable sales clerk at Virginias' and the Village Clotheslane in Lindsborg. She was also a dutiful homemaker, a devout Christian, and a lifelong volunteer. She enjoyed reading, wheat weaving, needlepoint, and playing hand bells in the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Carl, her brothers Gary (Diana) Hale and Lary (Bobbett) Hale, her daughter Julie (Hershberger) Holk, her son-in-law Gordon Holk, and her grandson David Holk.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsbor

A funeral service will be held at 10:30am Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, Kansas. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, KS
