Julius J Kron was born in Hungary and immigrated to the US about 1905. He found employment as a detective for different agencies in the New York area. In 1915 he went to work for lawyer Grace Humiston and was instrumental in helping her solve crimes in her efforts to clear wrongly accused defendants. Their most famous cast was that of the murder of Ruth Cruger, who went missing in Feb 1917 in New York City. They recovered her body in an undergound cellar grave.
He married Estelle Green in 1907 in NYC and they were the parents of 2 daughters, Ruth and Margretta.
