Phyllis L. Croisant was born on April 14, 1918 in rural Scottsville, Kansas to James A. & Pearl E. (Pierce) Conn. She passed from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home in Beloit, KS at the age of 90.

Phyllis graduated from Scottsville High School. She married Max Croisant on Sept. 11, 1938 in Beloit, KS. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2005. She was a lifelong Scottsville area resident and homemaker. Phyllis was originally a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Scottsville, then Simpson and currently a member of Naomi Chapter #28 of Beloit, an active member of Polly Anna and attended the Scottsville Community Church.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Angie Clatterbuck & husband Randy, Topeka, KS, Rick Croisant & wife Heather, Scottsville, KS, Curtis Croisant & wife Susan, Concordia, KS & Mike Johnson, Concordia, KS; great grandchildren, Taylor & Briana , Concordia, KS, Treyton, Riley & Dylan , Scottsville, KS & K'la & Hallie, Concordia, KS; son in law, Dwight Nichols, Silver Lake, KS & daughter in law: Janet Croisant DeVore, Beloit, KS. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Max; a son, Larry Croisant; a daughter, Linda Nichols & brothers, Keith & Claire Conn.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thurs., April 2, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Moynihan officiating. Burial will follow at the Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, KS. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:30-7:30 PM, Wed., April 1, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Scottsville Community Church.
