Oscar Cleveland Corbin is the son of John L. Corbin (1849-1919) and Martha Maine "Mattie" Ledford (1862-1947). He married Maude Livingston on June 25, 1923.

Gneiss Merchant Was Macon Native; Rites Monday
Oscar Cleveland Corbin, 70, a native of this county, was found dead at his home on Franklin, Route 5, Sunday morning.
The county coroner said Mr. Corbin died at his own hands by hanging. He had been in bad health for some time.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Pine Grove Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Officiating were the Rev. W. K. Shields and the Rev. Frank Reid. Burial was in the Sugarfork Cemetery.
Mr. Corbin was a merchant-postmaster at Geniss for 26 years before his retirement. He was born March 26, 1887, the son of the late John and Mrs. Mattie Ledford Corbin. He wa a past choir director of his church and was married June 25, 1923, to Miss Maude Livingston, of Wilkes County, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Doris Lee, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Landon Corbin of Gay, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Vinson, of Dillard, Ga., Route 1, Mrs. Lula Higdon, of Charlotte, and Mrs. Americus Angel, of Greenville, S. C.; and three grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Sammy Bryson, Sexton Vinson, Roby Higdon, Ed Vinson, W. T. Tilson, and Glenn Livingston.
Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
