Death of Henry C. Ewing

Died, of pneumonia, at his home one and one-half miles southwest of
Mayview, Saturday night, April 15, Henry C. Ewing, aged nearly 67 years.
The deceased was the son of Chatham S. and Mary B. Ewing and was born in
this county June 22, 1838. He was educated at Chapel Hill College when
that institution was one of the most flourishing institutions of learning
in the West. He was married Dec. 8, 1874, to Miss Belle . Harrelson of
this county, who, with son and daughter, Chatham and Florence, survives him.

Mr. Ewing was one of the best citizens of the county, a ruling elder of the
Mt. Hebron church, a most successful farmer, a much respected and beloved
neighbor. The burial took place Monday at the Mt. Hebron church cemetery.
