Mr. J. T. Hudson Dead

A Ridgeway Gentleman Who Had COlumbus Relatives.

Ridgeway, Ga., Aug. 7. - Jr. J. T. Hudson has lingered for several days between life and death, and last night about 11 o'clock his spirit took flight, for the spirit land. He died at a home made happy for years by the companionship of a loving wife and surrounding friends. He leaves in this community his loving wife, an aged mother, a brother and sister, in Columbus Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Hudson, and some brothers and sister in the west.
Mr. Hudson was born and raised in this community and was happily married only a few years ago to Miss Sallie McGehee, a sister of Mrs. J. D. McPhail, of Columbus. He was only about forty-five years of age; just in the prime of life, and was the youngest of a large family, his mother still living at the advanced age of 88 years. Many of his loved ones preceded him.
He was buried at Ridgeway at half past three o'clock this afternoon with Masonic honors by Ellerlie Lodge No. 144, F. & A. M., of which he was a member in good standing. He was also a member of the Methodist church at this place.
Although he had the best medical attention that could be had in the neighborhood and the constant ministrations of his loving wife, his brother and his friends, his disease resisted their skill and attention. His home is left in desolation, Rev. William E Arnold assisted in the funeral services.
