Mrs. Leota Ruth Adams, 91 years of Anderson, Missouri departed this life on Friday, December 26, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri. Leota was born on June 30, 1917 in Anderson, Missouri daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Martha Elizabeth (Nolan) Beshears. On June 16, 1933 in Pineville, Missouri she was united in marriage to James Robert "Jim" Adams and to this union one son and four daughters were born. Throughout her life she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She resided in Prairie Grove, Arkansas for seven years before returning to Anderson, Missouri in 2004. She enjoyed quilting and often shared her beautiful creations with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty-one years, Jim Adams on July 13, 1994; a son, Robertlee Dean Adams; two granddaughters, Lori Haddock St.John and Robin Lybeck Clemente; three sisters, Goldie James, Mary Watkins and Laura Clutter; and six brothers, Elmer, Edward, Harvey, James, David and John Beshears. Leota is survived by her four daughters, Frances Scearce and husband, George, Shirley Haddock and husband, Delbert, and Mary Haddock and Husband, Ralph, all of Anderson, Missouri and Judy Lybeck of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
