Mrs. Clara A Lewis
OSWEGO TOWN, oCT. 10
Mrs. Clara A. Lewis, 70, a life long resident of Oswego Town died at her home Sunday after a brief illness. Mrs. Lewis, the daughter of the late Robert and Emma V. Andrews, was born in the house in which she died on Nov. 15, 1868. She was united in marriage to S. Franklin Lewis in 1899 and to them were born two sons, Robert D. Lewis, who died at the age of 23, and Milton A. Lewis, who resides on the homestead. Besides her husband and only son, she is survived by one grand daughter, Joan Harriet and a sister, Mrs. H.E. Kingsley of Syracuse. fifty-one years ago, Mrs. Lewis united with the southwest Oswego Baptist church and had been an active member in all its departments all her life. She was also a member of Hope Grange. Funeral services will be conducted at the church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Rudolph Ungar, pastor, officiating.
