Jason Matthew Floyd, 27, of La Porte passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at his home in La Porte.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Full Gospel Church with Rev. Dennis Pickens officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Jason was born July 12, 1984 in Michigan City to John and Debbie (Granacki) Floyd II who are surviving in La Porte.

Also surviving is one sister: Kristi Floyd or Arizona; one brother: John Floyd III of Michigan City; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents: John and Betty (Eldridge) Floyd and Edward and Frieda (Schoof) Granacki.

Jason was a machine operator at Diamond Manufacturing.

He loved the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago White Sox.

Memorial may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the Diabetes Research Foundation.
