Witnesses were Walter Wenke of Bloomfield and Lydia Dannert of Creighton. Bill was a 23 year old farmer from Creighton and Ricka was 22 years old. They were married by the Evangelical Lutheran Pastor.

OBITUARY Creighton News: "Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, 1989 for Ricka C Dannert, 81, of Creighton at Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton. Rev. Paul Bannitt officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Creighton.

Onie Tyler was organist for soloist, Barbara Nielsen who sang "Just As I Am" and the congregation who sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus". Pallbearers were Kim Miller, Dale Lemke, Milan Jensen, Larry Vortherms, Roger Lemke, and Jewell Neuman. Honorary pallbearers were Wallace Bertschinger, Vernon Jensen, Jack Luckert, Albert Witt, John Brandt, Robert Skokan, and Rev. Olin Belt. Arrangements were by Brockhaus Funeral Home of Creighton.

Ricka C. Dannert was born November 12, 1907 near Bloomfield to Herman and Louise (Lange) Wenke and died Tuesday, July 25, 1989. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1925 and attended Wayne State College. She taught in rural schools in the Bloomfield area.

On May 18, 1930 she married William Dannert. They farmed near Winnetoon. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Herman and Phyllis Dannert of Creighton and Robert and Sue Dannert of Wayzata, MN; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Marlene) Neumann of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Harold (Emma) Durant of Allen and Hilda Kuhl of Bloomfield; and three brothers, Walter of Bloomfield, Herman of Salem, Oregon, and Herbert of Adriane, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1987 and three brothers."
