Imogene Mettes Finnigan Hannibal Nov. 28, 1915 - Oct. 28, 2007 HANNIBAL Imogene Mettes Finnigan, 91, of Hannibal, died at 11:11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate, Pastor Tom Day will assist.Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Finnigan was born Nov. 28, 1915, in Atlanta, Mo., to Francis Grace and Mary Leoncia Pike Mettes. She was married to Thomas A. Finnigan on April 16, 1936 in Monroe City. He preceded her in death January 24, 1995. Survivors include four children, Marolyn Haubrich (George E.) of Trophy Club, TX., Thomas E. Finnigan (Donna Kay) of New London, Robert W. Finnigan of Quincy, Ill., and Cecelia Baker (Bill) of Hannibal, one sister, Anna Vivian Schoenborn of Hannibal, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Finnigan was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Roberta Norman, Agnes Bernice Hagan, and an infant sister, three brothers, Joseph Leo Mettes, John Delmar Mettes, Paul Francis Mettes, one daughter-in-law, M. Joyce Finnigan, and one granddaughter, Tasha Rae Finnigan. Mrs. Finnigan was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Grand View Belles Widow's Club, Holy Family 55 Plus Club, New London Senior Citizen Forget Me Nots, AARP, and Rocky Point Community and Extension Club. Mrs. Finnigan was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
