Son of William Stripling and his wife Juliatha Oliver. William Is listed in the 1830 Jones County, Georgia census. Jones County was created in 1807 from Baldwin, had territory added in 1810 from Putnam and had lands added from original territories in 1821. Jones County is in the center of the state of Georgia. The Jones County, Georgia genweb site states there was a Stripling family in Jones county who lived in the community of Roberts Station aka Robertsville named for Reuben Roberts with other family surnames in the community of Balkcom, Brown, Isaacs and Lowe. William died after 1830. Four of William's sons moved to Carroll County Georgia in the West of the State. Carroll County was created after 1825 when Native lands were ceded. Campbell, Douglas, Haralson and Heard counties were created in part from Jones County.
