Mrs. Harry A. (Alene Mayer) Damarin, 85, of Mt. Pulaski died 11:10 pm Sunday, January 8, 1984 in Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Pulaski, IL.

Services were at 2 pm Wednesday in Fricke-Calvert-Shrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski with visitation one hour before service time. Burial in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials: Mt. Pulaski Christian Church or Mt. Pulaski Ambulance.

Mrs. Damarin was born in Mt. Pulaski, daughter of Oscar and Edna Jane (Buckles) Mayer. She was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. She married Harry A. Damarin on September 25, 1919 in Waterloo, IA at the home of the bride's cousin, Elias (Blanche) Buckles. Harry died at home in 1974.

Surviving are her sons: Harry E. of Mt. Pulaski; Virgil of Elkhart; John of Springfield; daughter, Doris Rogers of Springfield; sister, Elizabeth Holz of Mt. Pulaski; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Greg Damarin (grandson), Richard Wood (grandson-in-law), Steve D. Schilling (friend), Wendell Rothwell (cousin), Wilbur E. Stoll (friend), and Rick Aylesworth (friend).
