Murder Victim. She was the victim of the 1986 murder in New York's Central Park that was dubbed "The Preppy Murder" by the press. The incident spawned both a book, "Wasted: The Preppie Murder" by Linda Wolfe, and the 1989 television movie "The Preppy Murder." Her killer, Robert Chambers was sentenced to 15 years in prison and was released on February 14, 2003.
