Feb 9, 1971 - The Reporter - Funeral services for Mrs. Lloyd Zeigler, 65, Emmetsburg, will be at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) in the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Chester Waterman, pastor, and the Rev. Arthur Zeigler, a son., officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Zeigler died at Palo Alto County Hospital Feb. 5.

Mrs. Zeigler was born in Emmetsburg, Feb. 13, 1905, the daughter of Richard and Luella Wallsinger Hersom. A lifelong resident of Palo Alto County, she was married March 28, 1934, to Lloyd Zeigler, at Mallard.

Survivors include three children: Mrs. Melvin (Luetta)Reese, Marathon, Rev. Arthur Zeigler, Holtville, Calif., and William, Emmetsburg; seven grandchildren; six brothers: Everett Hersom and Lester Hersom of Mallard; Richard Hersom and Alfred Hersom of Laurens; Orlin Hersom, Spirit Lake, and Franklin Hersom, Curlew; and a half-sister, Mrs. Bertha Strube, Deming, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan. 2, 1967. Pallbearers will be Everett, Lester, Alfred, Richard, Orlin and Franklin Hersom.
