Rites Set For Pioneer

A 75-year resident of Lewis county, Mrs. Alphretta R. Miller, 90, died Saturday at the Centralia nursing home. She was born March 21, 1868, in Freedonia (sic), Kans. Mrs. Miller lived in Centralia for the past 59 years and in Lewis County for 75 years. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include: Two sons, the Rev. Charles D. Miller, Fresno, Calif., and James L. Miller, Beaverton, Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Benedict, Centralia; a sister, Mrs. Delia Nero, Clarkston; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 3 p.m., at the Newell-Hoerling chapel, Centralia, with the Rev. Dr. S. Raynor Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Washington Lawn Cemetery.
