Miss Zannie Ferrell, 83, of 2415 West Vernon Ave., Kinston, NC., formerly of Sampson County, died Saturday at Lenior Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC.

Miss Ferrell, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Zannie and Ida Merritt Ferrell.

She is survived by a sister, Edith Fortune of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several cousins.

A private graveside service was held at 11am, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemeteryin Magnolia with Pastor Ronnie Nichols officiating.

Burial was made in the cemetery.
