WOOLFOLK GULLEY, FORMER MERCHANT, DIED SUNDAY
J. Woolfolk Gulley, 64, of Danville Route 1 died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital. For 20 years, he was owner and operator of Hilltop Lumber Company. Born in Garrard County on Feb. 10, 1919, he was the son of the late Jesse Woolfolk and Stella Hendren Gulley. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Broadway, where he taught in the youth department and Baptist Training Union leader. He was also treasurer of the Andrew Class. He was a 1936 graduate of Camp Dick Robinson school and attended the University of Kentucky. Survivors include his wife, Anah Cutter Gulley; a son, David Gulley of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Dr. James Gulley of Danville and Charles Gulley of Lexington; a half brother, Robert Gulley of Florida; and two sisters, Mrs. L.B. (Margaret) Williams of Camp Dick Robinson and Mrs. Cecil (Mary Elizabeth) Sanders of Lancaster. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Gisler and Dr. Austin Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.

Funeral for J. Woolfolk Gulley, 64, of Danville Route 1, who died Sunday, was scheduled to be held today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial was in Belle vue Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Larry Cutter, Tom, John, Jack, Robert, Charles H. and Jim Mac Gulley. Honorary pallbearers include William Kimberlin, Guy Richardson, Jasper Toombs, Floyd Dievert, Bill Vaught, John Roberts, Cecil Gaines, Gus Petro, Sid Morris, Ted Gibson, John Hughes, Dr. G.B. Williams, John Porter and William Cooley.
