Services for James B. Hinton, 82, were held Saturday from Surls and Grupe Funeral Home here with the Rev. Cloyd J Bishop officiating. burial was in the Alden Cemetery with graveside rites conducted by the American Legion. Mr. Hinton died Thursday at a Des Moines hospital.
James Hinton the son of Frank and Bessie D. Hinton was born Oct.29, 1896, near Hampton. Mr. Hinton farmed and worked as a carpenter and married Betty Caney at Liscomb Nov. 5, 1939. They later lived in the Iowa Falls and Alden communities until he went to a FT. Dodge nursing home in 1976. Mr. Hinton died in January of this year.
He is survived by a sister, Anna Meyer of Bradford, and was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and four brothers.
