A funeral Mass for Melissa L. Bosch Bowman, 44, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Patrick Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles (downtown church), with Fr. Chris Kuhn, celebrant. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery on Crane Road in St. Charles. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles (three blocks west of the Fox River and one block south of Route 64 on 3rd St.) where a liturgical wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Born Nov. 23, 1960, in St. Charles, the daughter of Bernard and Georgia (nee Petersen) Bosch, she died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her deep faith and trust in her Lord carried her through the many trials she had endured for the past three years.
Raised in St. Charles, Melissa was a graduate of St. Charles High School. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in St. Charles, where she enjoyed various activities with her family and church family, and especially the Women's Bible Studies. She was employed for 11 years at Hoops Sports Bar in St. Charles, where she met her future husband.
Warren and Melissa were united in marriage on Jan. 15, 1994. She was employed by Limo Network in St. Charles, but Melissa's heart was devoted to caring for her husband and their children. The term "homemaker" was to Melissa a badge of honor.
