Born Nov. 23, 1960, in St. Charles, the daughter of Bernard and Georgia (nee Petersen) Bosch, she died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her deep faith and trust in her Lord carried her through the many trials she had endured for the past three years.
Raised in St. Charles, Melissa was a graduate of St. Charles High School. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in St. Charles, where she enjoyed various activities with her family and church family, and especially the Women's Bible Studies. She was employed for 11 years at Hoops Sports Bar in St. Charles, where she met her future husband.
Warren and Melissa were united in marriage on Jan. 15, 1994. She was employed by Limo Network in St. Charles, but Melissa's heart was devoted to caring for her husband and their children. The term "homemaker" was to Melissa a badge of honor.
Melissa is survived by her husband of 11 1/2 years, Warren; her son, Maxwell Bowman, age 9, soon to be 10 years old on Tuesday; her daughter, Georgina Bowman, age 8; her parents, Bernard and Georgia Bosch of Elgin; her sister, Pamela (Paul) VanBogaert of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Adam (Kimberly) Bosch of Elgin and Gregory (Tracey) Bosch of St. Charles; her father-in-law, Walker Bowman of St. Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for the Bowman Children's Education Fund has been set up at First Choice Bank, 1900 W. State St., Geneva, IL 60134. For information, 630-584-2000 or www.Norrisfh.com.
