Lawrence Hershel DuBois

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence Hershel DuBois will be celebrated 3 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2012, in the chapel of Kramer of Colfax with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kramer of Colfax.

Mr. DuBois, 84, of Colfax, passed away March 8, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Pineville. He was a truck driver for T.H. Vallee Exxon and Grant Fuel. In addition, he maintained the levee near Colfax for the Grant Parish Levee Board. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Mr. DuBois is survived by his wife of 64 years, Florence DuBois of Colfax; one son, Larry Wayne DuBois and wife Joyce of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Jerrad Barton of Tioga and Larry Heath DuBois of Montgomery; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson Barton and Alaynna DuBois.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Olivia DuBois; one brother, Huey DuBois; one daughter, Kathy DuBois Barton, two granddaughters, Christina and Alisha DuBois; and one grandson, Ashton Barton.

Visitation will be 4p.m. - 10 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday, March 12, 2012, at Kramer of Colfax. A Christian Wake Service will be held 7 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Kramer of Colfax with Deacon E.J. Barré officiating.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Johnny Carl Antee, David Antee, Jerry Buggs Barton, Glenn DuBois, Leslie DuBois, and Huey DuBois.
