She was born July 10, 1918 in Chapin, Illinois, to Arthur and Minnie Brockhouse. She married Lloyd R. Smith on July 17, 1940. He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 1968. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Arthur V. Brockhouse and one sister, Irma Baird.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie (Tom) Starner, Centennial, Colorado; one son, Donald (Lyn) Smith, Palisade, Colorado; two grandsons, Matthew (Lyndsay), Rifle, Colorado and Andrew (Katie), Evergreen, Colorado; one brother, Marvin (Marietta) Brockhouse, Bloomington and many nieces and nephews.
