After graduating high school Lucile atteded Business College in Kansas City, Missouri and began working as Deputy County Clerk in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.
She married Earl Isaac Sebree on August 16, 1947 in Harrisonville, Cass County, Missouri.
A daughter was born, Earleen Lou in 1949.
Lucile was now Deputy Jackson County Assessor and she and Earl purchased a home in Kansas City.
In 1959 the family moved to the farm in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, where she was born and raised.
Lucile worked for a short while as Deputy Boone County Assessor, but decided to stay at home and care for her family.
In 1964, due to the illness of her husband, Lucile went back to work at Woodhaven Christian Home where she worked until she retired in 1974.
Lucile's daughter married in 1969 and after her retirment she spent several months at a time with Earleen. Finally in 1990 she moved in with them, where she remained until her death.
Lucile was a stong willed, determined woman, meeting every obstable head on. She was a hard worker and enjoyed life.
I am happy to say I have a lot of my mothers traits, good and bad. I believe she set a good example for me and I will always be thankful she was my mother.
