He married Sarah Marcella Gorey and had 4 children: Marguerite E.(Francis Lee)(1905 – 1991), John P "Bill" (1907 – 1981), Eugene Joseph (1910 – 1990), and Mary Hannah (Thomas Dalton)(1913 – 2009).
