Wauretta “Rita” Hendrix, 89, a retired Federal employee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 19, 2006, in Fort Worth.

Rita was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Parker County to Charlie and Lela Campbell Parks. She attended public schools in Parker County and graduated from Peaster High School. Rita was a long-time employee of Kings Candy in Fort Worth. She married Willard W. Hendrix, July 3, 1959, in Fort Worth. They moved to Houston in 1961, where she retired Fe. 19, 1976, from the Johnson Space Center. They then moved to Weatherford in 1977. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weatherford.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Neil and Lloyd Parks; four sisters, Ethel Chilcutt, Cleo Crockett, Lois Fay Chilcutt and Lamoine Combs.
