He was born in Reedy, Roane County, Apri 24, 1900, son of Jeremiah and Irene Rush Wright, and was a member of the Hill Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beulah Morgan Wright; four sons, Lawrence L. Wright, Parkersburg; Robert C. Wright, Mentor on the Lake, O.; Jackie L. Wright, Parkersburg; and Wayne S. Wright, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Ruby) Yax, Mentor on the Lake, O.; and Mrs. Willard (Zoanna) Dorsey, Palestine; four brothers, Carl Wright, Geneva, O.; Hubert Wright, Dayton, O.; Jesse L. Wright, Concord, W.Va.; Wilbur R. Wright, Eccles, W.Va.; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Dillon, Whitesville, W.Va.; a grandson, Robert Moody, Jr., of the family residence; and 13 other grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Clarence and Dwayne Wright.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Hill Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Bruce Wood, Elizabeth, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Vairl C. Winter of Ripley. Burial was in the church cemetery.
