Mollie Belle Altizer Horne Meadows, age 79 of Pounding Mill, Virginia was born February 23, 1933 in the Bearwallow section of Jewell Ridge, Virginia to the late Rufus Britten, Sr., and Della Pearl Day Altizer. Mollie departed this life March 9, 2012 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She had lived upon this earth for 79 years and 15 days.
She was a member of the Harbor Light Holiness Church. After giving her heart to Jesus at the age of thirty-three, her life mainly consisted of regular church services, homecoming meetings, fellowship meetings, camp meetings and revivals. She loved to attend them all. She was just like the psalmist when he said, "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the House of the Lord." She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Nelson Horne, Sr.; sons, Alfred Nelson Horn, Jr., and Elden Todd Meadows; Sisters, Carrie Altizer, Lera Shortt, Ruby Ward and brothers, Roy and John Altizer.

Funeral services for Mollie Meadows will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Westside Holiness Church in Raven, Virginia with the Rev. Alan Meadows and Rev. Fonzo Randolph officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery in Claypool Hill, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening at the Westside Holiness Church in Raven, VA with a service beginning at 7:00 pm.
