Victoria Marie (Beeman) Francis, of Topeka, Ks., daughter of Jack and Velma (Bender) Beeman, was born Sept 10, 1953, in Russell, Kansas. She went to live with the angels on Oct. 1, 2006 in Topeka at the age of 53.
Vicki spent her entire childhood in Russell and graduated third in her class from Russell High School in 1971. She then attended the University of Kansas and received her Bachelor of General Studies degree with an emphasis in psychology in May of 1975. After college, Vicki made her home in Topeka. She was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Jessica Dumler, in July of 1978. While raising her daughter she also held various employment positions. Included were a licensed insurance agent, a certified Financial Planner, a computer software rep/trainer for Jostens, and a legal secretary for various attorneys. Her last and most fulfilling position was that of a special education para-educator in which she felt she had finally found her true calling. Vicki was a member of Fellowship Bible Church. This association strengthened her faith in God and gave her the courage to find peace in her life.
Vicki is survived by one daughter, Jessica, of the home; her parents, Jack and Velma Beeman; one sister, Jaci Feil and husband Jim; one nephew, Ryan Feil; all of Russell, Ks. and one niece, Lindsay Feil, of Lawrence, Ks. Preceding her in death were both sets of grandparents, George and Marie Bender and H.P. and Blanche Beeman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 5th at St. John Lutheran Church in Russell at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice or to Fellowship Bible Church in care of the funeral home.
