Willard E. Magosky, Sr.
Passed away at Provena Villa Franciscan Nursing Home, after a long illness, Saturday, October 11, 2003. Age 91 years.
Survived by two sons Willard Magosky, Jr., and Patrick (Andrea) Magosky both of Joliet. His sister Shirley (Gerald) Dames, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his wife Mary Magosky (nee Krakar) in 1993. His parents Charles and Marie (nee McNichols) Magosky, a son Charles J. Magosky and a sister Delores Stariha.
Willard was an active member of The Cathedral of St. Raymond, the Knights of Columbus and the Joliet Elks Lodge #296, until his illness. Willard and his late wife operated Willard's Lake of the Woods Lodge and Willard's Gift Shop in Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada for many years. They retired dividing their time between their two homes, traveling and dancing.
Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Gerald L. Dames - Associate Director, Friday, October 17 at 9:30 a.m. to the Cathedral of St. Raymond at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
