Mrs. Frances Margaret Cain Monroe died Friday morning at the home of her son, Alfred Monroe, Sanoma, Wirt County.
She was born in Burning Springs, daughter of the late Alfred D. and Margaret Martin Cain. She was a member of the Hill Grove Baptist Church since 1899.
She was survived by one other son, Goodlow Monroe, also of Wirt County; nine grandchildren and 20 great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy R. Monroe.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Hill Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Vairl Winters and the Rev. J. Dean Cameron officiating. Burial was in Hill Grove Cemetery.
