Randal L. Avret, beloved husband of Betty Mills Avret, entered into rest at DDEAMC, Ft. Gordon, Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Mr. Avret served with the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service.
Graveside services will be held at Berlin United Methodist Churchyard, Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Larry Williams officiating. Friends are asked to assemble at the grave.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Randy L. (Amy) Avret, Augusta; grandsons, Tyler J. Avret and Jared R. Avret; mother, Della Avert Conley; brother Charles Avret, Augusta; sisters, Wilma Mims (George) Houghton, North Augusta, S.C. and Martha Elizabeth Avret, Cumming, Ga.; step-father, Grover Cecil Conley, Hephzibah and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Dozier Lee Avret and a brother Walter Floyd Avret.
