Samuel Peck was the son of LIEUT. JOSEPH & MARY (CAMP) PECK and grandson of JOSEPH & ALICE (HEATH) BURWELL-PECK. He married MARTHA CLARK, daughter of ENSIGN GEORGE (Jr.) & DEBORAH (GOLD) CLARK, on 5 May 1714 in Milford, New Haven Co., Conn. They were the parents of eight known children including my ancestor, NATHAN PECK.
Other children: Capt. Samuel Peck

He was Justice of the Peace in Milford and for several years, he was a deputy representing Milford at the General Court in Hartford.

In Feb. 8, 1702/3 Ens. Joseph Peck's name appears on an "Indian deed to the proprietors of New Milford", as part of a committee of seven men who purchased the land. As part of a committee of three, he met with the Stratford men who claimed part of New Milford. Three Stratford men sued Capt. Samuel Eells, Joseph Treat, and Ens. Joseph Peck for trespassing and won.

His tombstone was recut in 1943.
