Born June 27, 1913, at the family home in Concord Township, she was the daughter of Robert and Theresa Fleming Morrow.
She was a lifelong and the oldest member of the Springdale Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Aggas graduated from West Sunbury Vocational School in 1932. With her husband, she owned and operated the Aggas Service Station on Route 38 in Center Township for 35 years. She then worked in the dietary department at Butler Memorial from March 1967 until her retirement in June 1979.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, family gatherings and family genealogy. She was known as the family and neighborhood historian and a source of factual information concerning the family and almost everyone in the neighboring vicinity. She knew everyone's name, including their spouses and children, birth dates, anniversaries, relationships, etc. She was the contact person for most of the utility service people when they needed to find someone in the area. "Mom" Aggas knew everyone.
Surviving are three daughters, a son, four sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Charles Clifford Aggas, whom she married Oct. 10, 1933, died March 26, 1994. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Shay, who died July 21, 1998, and Shirley Patten, who died Sept. 19, 2003; a son, Charles Clifford Aggas Jr., who died Nov. 27, 2002; a grandson; a sister; and five brothers.
