Sharon Ann Laiche Browning, 66, passed away on September 21. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 16, 1945.
Sharon was a graduate of Stevens College and of Louisiana State University, and taught French and Spanish at Lee High School, and French at St. Luke's, St. James, and Trinity Episcopal Schools in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, the First Presbyterian Church, and the Baton Rouge Junior League.

She lived at Holiday Island, for the last decade of her life, and attended the Holiday Island Community Church.

She is survived by her mother, Camille Paola Smith, of Holiday Island, her two daughters and sons-in-law, Michaux Elizabeth Dempster and Greg Dempster of Midlothian, Virginia, K. Allison White Yoes and Travis Thomas Yoes, of Golden, Colo., as well as her aunt Josie Martin, of Baton Rouge, aunt and uncle Vincent and Francis Paola, also of Baton Rouge, and many other loving cousins, family, and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Ferdinand J. Laiche, Jr. and her step-father, Howard T. Smith.

Sharon loved to laugh, dance, and spend time with her family and friends. Sharon's family expresses their deepest gratitude to the many people who blessed Sharon with their love, kindness, and friendship throughout her life. She will be missed dearly.

A memorial service was held at St. Patrick's Church, Baton Rouge, officiated by Sharon's cousin, Fr. Jerry Martin. Interment was at Green Oaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.
