Alfred Taylor Basham Jr., 77, of Hardinsburg, died Tuesday, Janary 8, 2002 at Christopher East Nursing Facility in Louisville. Born June 14, 1924 in Breckinridge County, Mr. Basham was the son of the late Alfred Taylor Basham Sr. and Mabel Dunn. He was retired from the Civil Service as a clerk, was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a member of
Hardinsburg VFW Post #5831. His wife, Mrs. Norma Basham, preceeded him in death April 7, 1996.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Rae Ambrose, Pittsburgh, PA, Pat Senkbeil, Orlando, FL, Helen Miller and Vicki Basham, both of Louisville; three sons, John W. Basham, Louisville, Carl T. Basham, Henderson, and Robert BSham, Irvington; a sister, Margaret Cox, Naples, FL; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, January 11, from Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery.
